Independence: Our Greatest Strength Lies in the Unity, Resilience and Determination of Our People — Nwaubani Declares


Ikwuano, Abia State| October 1, 2026 —

As Nigeria marks its Independence Day, the Executive Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Anthony Nzeribe Nwaubani, PhD, FCA, FCIB, has extended warm felicitations to the people of Ikwuano LGA and Nigerians at large, describing the occasion as a moment to reflect on the nation’s journey, celebrate its resilience and renew hope for a greater Nigeria.

Dr. Nwaubani called on the people of Ikwuano to remain united, peaceful and committed to the progress of their communities, stressing that meaningful development can only thrive where citizens work together and place the collective interest above personal differences.

The Executive Mayor urged residents to embrace hard work, responsible citizenship and community participation, while encouraging the people of Ikwuano to continue supporting initiatives that promote security, education, economic growth, infrastructure and improved living conditions across the local government.

He further charged Nigerians to remain hopeful about the future of the country, saying that despite the challenges facing the nation, citizens have a shared responsibility to build a Nigeria where peace, justice, opportunity and prosperity can flourish.
