Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha, Member representing Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has renewed his appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, intensifying legislative and diplomatic efforts aimed at securing what he described as a sustainable political resolution to the protracted matter.
Speaking after a series of consultations in Abuja, Aguocha disclosed that he has commenced strategic engagements with fellow lawmakers across party lines, urging them to support a non-partisan call for clemency and dialogue. According to him, the continued detention of Kanu has remained a sensitive national issue with far-reaching implications for unity, security, and public trust in democratic institutions.
