The Executive Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Anthony Nzeribe Nwaubani, and the Mayoress, Princess Nnenna Florence Nwaubani, joined worshippers, Christian faithful, community leaders and other dignitaries at the dedication of the Loyal Soldiers of Christ Church in Ndoro, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
The church dedication, which attracted personalities from across Ikwuano and beyond, was marked by worship, thanksgiving, prayers and reflections on the faithfulness of God. The gathering provided an opportunity for members of the church and guests to celebrate the completion and dedication of the house of worship while committing its activities and congregation to the service of God.
The presence of the Ikwuano Council Chairman and his wife added colour to the occasion, as the couple joined the congregation in worship and shared in the spiritual significance of the dedication. Their participation underscored the importance of faith, community and fellowship in the lives of the people.
Among the notable personalities at the event was Distinguished Senator Darlington Nwokocha, the Labour Party senatorial candidate for Abia Central Senatorial Zone. Also in attendance were Hon. Boniface Isienyi, Labour Party candidate for Ikwuano State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, and Engr. Obinna Paul Peter, APGA candidate for Ikwuano State Constituency, alongside other political leaders, community stakeholders, church members and invited guests.
The gathering reflected a broad representation of political, religious and community interests, with attendees putting aside their various affiliations to participate in the solemn occasion and celebrate the dedication of the church.
The central message of the service, titled “It Could Only Be God,” was delivered by Shepherd Ifeanyi. The message focused on acknowledging God's role in the journey, challenges and eventual accomplishments that culminated in the establishment and dedication of the church.
Shepherd Ifeanyi's message encouraged the congregation to recognise divine grace in their lives and remain thankful for God's faithfulness. The sermon further emphasised the importance of trusting God through periods of uncertainty and giving Him glory for achievements that may initially appear impossible.
The dedication ceremony also featured prayers and thanksgiving as the church was formally committed to its spiritual purpose. Worshippers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to have a dedicated place where they could gather for worship, fellowship, spiritual growth and service to humanity.
The presence of the Mayor and Mayoress, alongside the distinguished guests and other stakeholders, highlighted the communal significance of the event as Ndoro hosted a gathering centred on faith, gratitude and the celebration of a new chapter in the life of the Loyal Soldiers of Christ Church.
