Umuahia South| April 21, 2026 —
The member representing Umuahia South State Constituency and Chief Whip, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Tommy Jacob-Obioma, has again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots development with the delivery of a solar-powered borehole he personally facilitated for the people of Ogbodinibe in Ohiaocha Ward.
The project, one of several executed across communities within the constituency, directly addresses the long-standing challenge of access to clean and safe water. Residents of Ogbodinibe, who previously depended on distant and unreliable sources, now have a sustainable solution that improves both their health outcomes and daily living conditions.
Powered by solar energy, the borehole ensures consistent water supply without the burden of recurring fuel or electricity costs. The initiative reflects a deliberate focus on sustainability and long-term impact, reinforcing the lawmaker’s approach to development as practical and result-oriented.
Community members have continued to commend Hon. Obioma for what they describe as quality representation anchored on visible projects rather than political rhetoric. Many noted that the Ogbodinibe intervention is part of a broader pattern of performance seen across the constituency.
Speaking on the project, Hon. Obioma maintained that his actions are guided by the needs of his constituents.
“The people asked for clean, accessible water. They were heard,” he said.
He also reiterated his governance philosophy, emphasizing outcomes over optics.
“No propaganda. No grammar. Just performance. No noise. No politics. No headlines. Just action,” Obioma stated.
Further underscoring his commitment to delivering tangible results, he added, “No speeches. No excuses. Just results,” while assuring constituents of continued developmental efforts. “We will do more,” he affirmed.
Reacting to the development, constituents expressed appreciation for what they described as consistent delivery and impactful leadership.
Nwaukwa Chinedu Chisom said, “Results Results Always. No long talks, just delivery of positive results. Thank you sir. 2027 will equally deliver you successfully.”
Another constituent, Ebere Nwankwo, remarked on the spread of such projects across communities, stating, “It’s everywhere bro. I saw one at AVODIM Community and I was impressed.”
Iheanyichukwu Okonkwo, who also commended the initiative, noted its broader significance.
“Your dedication to fulfilling this promise will directly improve the health, sanitation, and daily lives of hundreds of people in Ogbodinibe community. This project and more that you've done so far in various communities remain a testament to your commitment to public service. Your care and supports for your constituents is most appreciated. Jisike,” he said.
Uche Nwagbo also described the project as clear proof of effective representation, “Evidence of good representation. Kudos, and more grease to your elbow, able Chief Whip!” he added.
In a similar vein, Ugolee Mekka Leo praised the lawmaker’s capacity and consistency.
In his words, “Capacity personified, 4+4=8yrs. May God bless and reward you immensely my leader.”
With multiple projects already delivered across communities, the Ogbodinibe borehole further strengthens the narrative of performance-driven leadership under Hon. Emeka Obioma, as constituents continue to call for sustained development and expanded impact.
