The Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Obi Aguocha, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across his constituency and Nigeria at large, urging them to embrace the enduring virtues of unity, love, and sacrifice as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

In his Easter message, Hon Aguocha described the season as a sacred reminder of the redemptive power of Christ’s sacrifice and the victory of life over death. He noted that Easter offers a profound opportunity for reflection and spiritual renewal, especially in a time when the nation faces various social and economic challenges.

Easter is a celebration of love in its purest form, demonstrated through the ultimate sacrifice of Christ for humanity,” Aguocha stated.
It calls on all of us to live above selfish interests and embrace unity, which remains the foundation for any meaningful progress.”

He emphasized that the message of Easter transcends religious observance, urging Constituents to imbibe the principles of tolerance, compassion, and peaceful coexistence. According to him, a society built on love and mutual respect is better positioned to achieve sustainable development.

As we commemorate this season, we must learn to see one another as partners in progress rather than adversaries,” he said.
Only through genuine love and unity can we overcome the divisions that hinder our collective advancement.”

Hon Aguocha further called on his constituents to reflect deeply on the essence of sacrifice, stressing that true leadership and nation-building require selflessness and a commitment to the greater good. He urged both leaders and citizens to prioritize service above personal gain.

Sacrifice is the cornerstone of true leadership,” he noted. “If we are to build a society that works for everyone, we must be willing to give of ourselves for the benefit of others, just as Christ did for mankind.”

Addressing the current realities facing the nation, Aguocha encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope but to draw strength from the resurrection of Christ, which symbolizes triumph over adversity. He reassured his constituents of his continued commitment to advocating policies and initiatives that will improve their standard of living.

No matter how difficult the situation may seem, Easter reminds us that there is always light at the end of the tunnel,” he added. “We must remain steadfast, hopeful, and committed to building a better future together.”

He also reiterated the need for peaceful coexistence among diverse groups, noting that unity in diversity remains one of Nigeria’s greatest strengths. He urged his constituents to shun actions capable of inciting division and instead promote harmony in their communities.

Let this season inspire us to become ambassadors of peace in our homes, communities, and the nation at large,” Aguocha said.
Our collective destiny depends on our ability to live together in love and understanding.”
