April 5, 2026 —

International business man, Politician and founder of the OAU foundation, High Chief Onyekwere Akym Uche (OAU), has called on Christians to embody the true essence of Easter by reflecting the love of Christ through their actions and daily conduct.

In his Easter message, OAU emphasized that the significance of the season goes beyond ceremonial observances, urging believers to translate the message of Christ’s sacrifice into tangible expressions of love, kindness, and compassion within their communities. He described Easter as a period of deep spiritual reflection and a reminder of the boundless love demonstrated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Easter is not just a time of celebration; it is a time for reflection and action,” he stated.
Let us reflect Christ’s love through our actions by showing kindness, extending support to the needy, and fostering unity in our communities.

He noted that in a country faced with economic and social challenges, the demonstration of genuine love and empathy has become more critical than ever. According to him, the teachings of Christ provide a moral compass capable of guiding individuals and leaders toward building a more just and compassionate society.

In times like these, love must go beyond words,” Akym added. “We must be intentional about uplifting one another, supporting the vulnerable, and promoting peace wherever we find ourselves.”

The philanthropist further urged citizens to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, stressing that true progress and development are often rooted in selflessness and a commitment to the common good. He highlighted that the Easter story serves as a powerful example of how sacrifice can lead to redemption and transformation.

Christ’s sacrifice teaches us that true greatness lies in service,” he said.
If we are to build a better society, we must be willing to put the needs of others above our own and work collectively for the good of all.”

Onyekwere Akym Uche also called for unity among Abians and Nigerias at large, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and cooperation. He encouraged individuals to set aside differences and focus on shared values that promote harmony and collective progress.

Unity remains our greatest strength as a people,” he remarked. “When we come together in love and understanding, there is no limit to what we can achieve as a community.”

Reaffirming his commitment to humanitarian service and community development, he assured that his efforts would continue to focus on initiatives that improve the welfare of the people, particularly the less privileged. He emphasized that leadership must be anchored on compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

As we celebrate Easter, I reaffirm my dedication to serving humanity and contributing to the growth and development of our society,” he said. “Together, we can build a future that reflects the true values of love, justice, and shared prosperity.”

He concluded by urging Christians to sustain the lessons of Easter beyond the festive period, living lives that consistently reflect Christ-like virtues. According to him, the true meaning of Easter lies in transformation, purposeful living, and a renewed commitment to making the world a better place.
