A security expert and Director of Security, City Boy Movement in Anambra, Chief Sam Onwuteaka Jnr, has said Nigeria needs laws to strengthen national security and ensure good governance.
Onwuteaka stated this shortly after the inauguration of the members of the City Boy Movement in Anambra and the subsequent distribution of President Bola Tinubu’s palliatives to beneficiaries from the 21 local government areas of the state.
The security expert, who is also seeking election into the red chamber of the National Assembly in 2027, said he was motivated by a burning desire to help make laws that will strengthen national security and ensure good governance across the country.
He said he was aspiring to go to the Senate in the next dispensation to represent Anambra North Senatorial district on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
According to him, he had been in APGA and retained its membership since formation over 20 years ago, but he is currently playing an active role in the City Boys Movement, working with like-minded patriots to ensure the re- election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He said, “My support for President Tinubu’s re-election is because he is a progressive leading a progressive party and shares similar developmental ideology with my own party, APGA which is also a progressive party. So as you can see, the Progressives are working together.
“The government in my state with the party on which platform it stands, APGA, is a progressive. APC is a progressive party. Both APC and APGA are progressives working together. We follow our governor to where he goes and there is no conflict of interest anywhere at all as you are trying to insinuate.
I am focused and determined that is why I am running for the senate seat in Anambra North. I have done it before in 2023 without success. I ran for the district’s APGA ticket prior to the 2023 general elections with Chief (Mrs), Ebele Obiano, Chief Primus Odili and others and we gave them a good fight.
