As the month of April begins, the Member representing Umuahia South in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Obioma, has extended warm greetings to his constituents, urging them to embrace unity and collective development for a brighter future.
In his address to the people of Umuahia South, Hon. Obioma emphasized the need for peace, collaboration, and a shared vision for progress.
He noted that only through unity and a common purpose can the constituency achieve meaningful development and social transformation.
“This new month presents us with yet another opportunity to come together as a people, to set aside our differences, and work for the collective good of our communities,” Obioma stated.
“Development is a shared responsibility, and we must all play our part in building the Umuahia South we desire.”
He acknowledged the challenges facing the constituency, including infrastructural deficits, youth unemployment, and the need for improved healthcare and education.
However, he reassured the people that his office remains committed to addressing these issues through effective legislative representation and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
“We are fully aware of the challenges before us, but I want to assure my constituents that we are working tirelessly to bring positive changes.
"Our focus remains on quality representation, strategic development initiatives, and ensuring that government projects benefit our people,” he added.
Hon. Obioma also called on community leaders, youth organizations, and religious bodies to actively participate in the development process. He stressed that grassroots involvement and community-driven projects are crucial to sustaining growth and fostering a sense of ownership among the people.
“I encourage every stakeholder in Umuahia South to be a part of our collective journey towards progress. Your voices matter, your contributions are invaluable, and together, we can build a constituency that future generations will be proud of,” he urged.
As part of his ongoing commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Hon. Obioma revealed that plans are underway for new initiatives focusing on skills acquisition programs for youths, and infrastructure development projects aimed at improving the living standards of the people.
