In celebration of Mother’s Day, Hon. Emeka Obioma, the Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly and Umuahia South Rep, has paid glowing tribute to mothers in his constituency, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping homes and society at large.
In a heartfelt message released on Sunday, Hon. Obioma described mothers as “the glue that holds families together,” highlighting their sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering love.
He noted that the foundation of any progressive society rests on the strength and moral values instilled by mothers in their children.
“Today, we honor and celebrate our mothers, who are the backbone of our families and communities. Their love, patience, and dedication shape the future of our children and, by extension, our society. Mothers are our first teachers, our guiding light, and the pillars of our homes,” Hon. Obioma stated.
He further acknowledged the immense challenges that mothers face, from raising children to managing households and contributing to economic development.
He praised the women of Umuahia South for their resilience and commitment to nurturing responsible citizens despite societal challenges.
“Our mothers have shown exceptional strength in the face of adversity. Whether they are market women, professionals, educators, or caregivers, their influence is immeasurable. They deserve not only our gratitude but also our continuous support in every aspect of life,” he added.
