The Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government Council, Dr. Anthony Nzeribe Nwaubani, FCA, FCIBhas commiserated with His Royal Majesty, Eze Raphael Ukachi Ogbonna, Onyerubi 1 of Oru Oboro Autonomous community in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, over the death of his beloved wife, Ugoeze Ezinne Estephanie Ogbonna.
The Mayor’s condolence visit on Thursday, November 5, 2026 was an expression of solidarity with the royal father and his family at a difficult moment of grief, following the demise of the revered Ugoeze.
During the visit, Dr. Nwaubani paid tribute to the departed Ugoeze by observing the traditional condolence protocol and registering his condolences in the condolence register opened in her honour.
The visit highlighted the Mayor’s recognition of the pain associated with the loss of a loved one, particularly the passing of a life partner, and matriarch and also his commitment to identifying with individuals and families during moments of bereavement.
The death of Ugoeze Ezinne Estephanie Ogbonna is a painful loss to her immediate family, the royal household and the wider community. Her passing leaves behind cherished memories and a vacuum that will undoubtedly be felt by those whose lives she touched.
Dr. Nwaubani prayed for God's comfort, strength and fortitude for HRH Eze Raphael Ogbonna, members of the royal family and all those mourning the departed Ugoeze, while asking God to grant her eternal rest.
