Hon Obi Aguocha Leads Ohuhu Stakeholders to Otti, Hails Gov's Commitment to Inclusive Leadership

In a resounding show of unity and political solidarity, Hon Obi Aguocha and High Chief Victor Ikeji, PhD, yesterday led a high-powered delegation of elected and appointed officials, critical stakeholders, and prominent community leaders of Ohuhu on a courtesy visit to the Governor of Abia State, Alex C. Otti.
The visit, which drew together influential voices across Ohuhu, was marked by a strong affirmation of support for the governor’s reform-driven administration. 
The delegation reiterated their collective commitment to aligning with the developmental strides currently reshaping Abia State, noting that the progress recorded under Gov. Otti’s leadership has rekindled hope among citizens.
Speaking, Hon. Aguocha emphasized the importance of collaboration between community leadership and the state government. He stated that meaningful development is anchored on partnership, transparency, and visionary leadership. According to him, Ohuhu remains steadfast in its resolve to contribute meaningfully to the transformation agenda unfolding across the state.
The delegation unanimously echoed their support for Gov Otti’s second term bid in 2027. The leaders declared their confidence in his leadership capacity and reform agenda, affirming that continuity would ensure the consolidation of ongoing projects and policies already delivering tangible results across the state. Their endorsement was described as a reflection of the widespread satisfaction with the administration’s performance.
Hon. Aguocha also commended the Governor for signing the Senior Citizens Bill into law. He described the legislation as a landmark intervention that restores dignity, security, and hope to elderly citizens across Abia State. The law provides for a free monthly allowance to citizens aged 60 years and above, free medical care, and additional welfare benefits designed to improve their living conditions.
Hon. Aguocha praised Gov. Alex Otti’s compassionate leadership, noting that governance must be measured by its impact on the most vulnerable. 
He stressed that prioritizing the welfare of senior citizens is not merely a policy decision but a moral obligation that honors their years of sacrifice and contribution to society.
