Hon Onyekwere Akym Uche (OAU), a prominent business man, founder of the OAU foundation and former Abia State governorship candidate, has congratulated Gov Alex Otti on what he described as great significant infrastructure milestones, stating that the steady pace of development across the state is clear evidence that Abia is on the right path.
In a statement made available to newsmen, OAU commended Gov Otti for sustaining an ambitious programme of road construction, urban renewal and public infrastructure development, noting that the administration has continued to translate its promises into tangible projects that are positively impacting the lives of ordinary citizens. He observed that the renewed focus on quality infrastructure is laying the foundation for economic growth, improved mobility and enhanced investment opportunities.
According to him, infrastructure remains one of the most enduring legacies any government can leave behind, as it stimulates commerce, attracts investors and improves the quality of life of the people. He maintained that the current administration has demonstrated an uncommon commitment to reversing years of infrastructural decay through deliberate planning, fiscal discipline and responsible governance.
"Dr Alex Otti has shown that purposeful leadership is measured by visible results. Across different parts of Abia, we are witnessing projects that are restoring confidence in government and giving our people renewed hope. These infrastructure milestones are not merely about roads, they represent opportunities, economic growth and a better future for every Abian," Akym Uche said.
He added, "Today, Abia is steadily reclaiming its place as a destination for investment and enterprise. The ongoing transformation is a testament to what can be achieved when leadership is driven by vision, transparency and an unwavering commitment to public service. It is encouraging to see that our state is moving in the right direction."
Onyekwere Akym further urged citizens to continue supporting the administration's developmental agenda, stressing that sustainable progress requires collective effort. He noted that while government has the responsibility of providing leadership, residents must also play their part by protecting public infrastructure, promoting peace and fostering an environment conducive to development.
"The gains we are celebrating today must be preserved for future generations. Development is a continuous process, and every stakeholder has a role to play in ensuring that these projects are protected and maximally utilised. I encourage Abians to remain united and to continue supporting initiatives that will move our state forward," he stated.
The former governorship candidate also expressed optimism that the administration would consolidate on its achievements through the completion of ongoing projects and the execution of additional strategic infrastructure initiatives capable of unlocking the state's vast economic potential. He remarked that with consistency, prudent resource management and sustained public support, Abia would emerge as one of Nigeria's leading examples of transformational governance.
He concluded by congratulating Gov Otti and the people of Abia State on the great infrastructure milestones achieved in just three years of purposeful leadership, expressing confidence that the administration's development drive would leave a lasting legacy. According to him, the visible improvements being recorded across critical sectors have strengthened public confidence and reinforced the belief that Abia's future is brighter than ever.
