Aguocha Joins Otti, Abia Leaders at Thanksgiving Service Celebrating Three Years of Transformation


The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Obi Aguocha, on Sunday joined Gov. Alex Otti and other top political and Religious leaders at an Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service organized to mark the third anniversary of the Labour Party-led administration in Abia State.
The thanksgiving service was held in appreciation to God for what participants described as three years of purposeful leadership, visible infrastructural development, and renewed hope in Abia State.
Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service were the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Otti; the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu; Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, Deputy speaker, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini, the Chief Judge of the State, Hon. Justice Lilian Abai; members of the National and State Assembly, the State House of Assembly Chief Whip and Umuahia South Rep, Hon Emeka Obioma, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba; Head of Service, Mr. Benson Ojeikere; members of the State Executive Council; members of the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council led by Eze Linus Nto Mbah; an array of clergy men, among others.
Hon. Aguocha’s presence at the event highlighted his continued support for the administration of Gov Otti and the ongoing efforts to consolidate development across the state. The federal lawmaker has consistently aligned himself with policies and programmes aimed at improving infrastructure, governance, and the welfare of the people.
Speaking, Aguocha commended Dr Alex Otti for what he described as visionary and people-oriented leadership that has restored public confidence in governance within the past three years. He noted that the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and service delivery has continued to earn the trust and support of Abians.
According to him, the visible transformation being witnessed across different sectors of the state reflects a government determined to rebuild Abia and place the interests of the people above personal and political considerations.
The lawmaker further stated that the thanksgiving service served as an opportunity for leaders and citizens alike to reflect on the progress made so far while renewing their collective commitment toward sustaining development and unity in the state.
Obi Aguocha also reaffirmed his readiness to continue partnering with the Otti-led administration in advancing policies and projects that would bring greater democratic dividends to the people of Ikwuano, Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency and Abia State at large.
The event featured prayers for the peace, stability, and continued progress of the state, as religious leaders urged political office holders to remain committed to selfless service and good governance.
The celebration formed part of activities marking three years of the Labour Party administration in Abia State, with many attendees expressing optimism that greater achievements lie ahead for the state under the current leadership.
