Hon. Obi Aguocha has commended the people of Abia State, particularly constituents of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, for their sustained support and confidence in the administration of Alex Otti and the Labour Party-led government in the state.
Aguocha, who represents the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, gave the commendation while addressing party faithful, supporters, and residents, where he expressed appreciation for what he described as the unwavering loyalty and commitment of Ndi Abia toward the ongoing transformation efforts of the present administration.
According to the federal lawmaker, Gov Otti has continued to distinguish himself through visionary and purposeful leadership that has translated into measurable progress across critical sectors of governance in Abia State. He noted that the administration’s infrastructural drive, particularly in road construction and rehabilitation, has significantly improved connectivity and enhanced economic activities across various communities in the state.
The lawmaker further highlighted the prompt payment of salaries and pensions as one of the major achievements of the current administration, stressing that the policy has restored confidence within the civil service and improved the welfare of workers and retirees. He also praised the government’s investment in education through the establishment of smart schools, as well as ongoing efforts aimed at repositioning the healthcare sector through the renovation and upgrading of health centres and general hospitals with improved medical facilities.
Aguocha equally lauded the Otti administration for its prudent management of state resources, improved environmental sanitation, and strengthened security architecture, which he said have collectively contributed to restoring public confidence in governance and creating a more conducive environment for development and investment in Abia State.
He urged Abians to continue supporting the Labour Party administration, maintaining that the achievements recorded so far were clear indications of responsible and people-oriented governance. According to him, sustaining the current momentum of development requires collective commitment and cooperation from citizens across the state.
The federal lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with Gov Alex Otti in advancing policies and programmes that would directly benefit the people of his constituency. He assured constituents of his determination to continue advocating for their needs through effective legislation, impactful motions, and strategic engagements capable of attracting more developmental projects to the federal constituency.
