The Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly and Member representing Umuahia South state constituency, Hon. Emeka Tommy Jacob-Obioma, has declared that Umuahia South is ready to participate fully in Gov Alex Chioma Otti’s agricultural development vision.
Obioma highlighted the constituency’s fertile land, productive farmlands, and hardworking communities as key assets for large-scale plantation projects.
Speaking to newsmen about the initiative, Hon. Obioma presented Umuahia South as an ideal location for all interested investors seeking to develop industrial agriculture.
“Our constituency has the land, the people, and the capacity to sustain meaningful agricultural projects. We will ensure that local landowners and farmers are ready to participate and benefit from any investment that transforms agriculture in our communities,” he said.
He emphasized that the constituency’s vibrant population of youths and women can provide the labor and innovation necessary for plantation operations, milling, logistics, and other support services.
“We will mobilize our people to maximize opportunities that create employment, income, and sustainable livelihoods,” Obioma added.
Hon. Obioma also commended Governor Otti for his visionary leadership and commitment to agricultural development.
