According to him, they embody the hopeful transition of young citizens into a world that urgently needs innovative thinkers, skilled professionals, and patriotic nation-builders.

Every convocation is a commissioning of new leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. These graduates are stepping into a future that needs their brilliance, courage, and creativity. Abia State is depending on them to contribute meaningfully to our collective advancement,” he stated.

He also commended Gov Otti for the remarkable strides his administration has made within the education sector through infrastructural renewal, reforms in school administration, and deliberate investment in technical and vocational training. Hon. Obioma described the Governor’s approach as transformational and forward-looking.

Governor Otti has shown through action that education is central to development. His reform agenda is restoring confidence in our institutions and creating an environment where excellence can thrive. We must all support this vision because an educated society is a prosperous society,” he added.

Highlighting the significance of the day for Abia’s development trajectory, Hon. Obioma noted that institutions like Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic are strategic pillars in the state’s long-term economic and social advancement.

He urged the graduates to uphold integrity, hard work, and continuous learning as they step into new phases of life.

This is only the beginning. Your journey to greatness starts now. Carry with you the values you have learned here and remain committed to excellence. The state believes in your potential, and we are confident that you will make us proud,” he said.

As the ceremony drew to a close, stakeholders, parents, and students expressed confidence that Abia State, under the stewardship of leaders like Gov Alex Otti and Hon. Obioma, is on a progressive path toward building a robust, innovative, and knowledge-driven society.
