Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha, Member representing Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has awarded a N250,000 postgraduate tuition grant to Ms. Akunna Adanna Onyeonoro, a Master's student at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Abia State.
The financial assistance, communicated to the beneficiary on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, is aimed at supporting her postgraduate studies and easing the financial burden associated with her academic pursuit.
Onyeonoro, who hails from Nsukwe in Ubakala Ward B, Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, expressed profound gratitude to the federal lawmaker for approving her application, describing the intervention as a significant investment in her academic future.
In her letter of acceptance, she commended Aguocha and his team for considering her application worthy of support, noting that the gesture reflected a commitment to educational advancement and youth development within the constituency.
She pledged to utilise the grant judiciously for its intended purpose and reaffirmed her determination to make the constituency proud through her academic pursuits.
In a subsequent vote of thanks, the postgraduate student confirmed receipt of the N250,000 grant, expressing appreciation to the lawmaker for fulfilling his promise. She described the assistance as more than financial support, but a demonstration of purposeful representation and a commitment to the educational aspirations of constituents.
Onyeonoro also prayed for God's continued blessings upon the federal lawmaker, expressing hope that his efforts towards supporting education and empowering young people would continue to yield positive results.
