Henry made the remarks during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at the family’s residence in Plateau State on Friday, where he discussed the renewed crisis between the former music partners and appealed to the brothers to consider ending their prolonged feud.
According to him, Peter had made efforts to resolve the differences within the family, but he remained uncertain that the twins could return to the close relationship they once enjoyed. He nevertheless appealed to Paul to forgive his twin brother and work towards restoring peace within the family.
“Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising. What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired,” Henry said.
He also recalled disagreements surrounding the early management of P-Square, alleging that he had been promised a 20 per cent share when the family’s music business began generating income, before their elder brother, Jude, intervened.
“They promised me 20 per cent when they start making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that. I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them,” he said.
While expressing his desire to see Peter and Paul reunite, Henry admitted that he was not optimistic about the prospect. He described Paul as a kind-hearted person and said a restoration of peace among the brothers would bring him considerable joy.
“I will be happy for them to come back together but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person,” he added.
Henry further recounted an incident involving his finances, saying Peter had previously directed him to Jude after the death of his wife’s father, explaining that Jude was in possession of his money. He said he had made several efforts to restore unity within the family, including seeking outside intervention, but the disagreements persisted.
“When Peter’s wife’s dad died, I spoke to them why they left only me in Jos, Peter said I should meet Jude, he’s the one holding my money. I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best. Even Shehu Dantata spoke to them and they didn’t listen,” he said.
He appealed to Jude to play a conciliatory role in resolving the disagreements among the siblings, while also urging Paul to forgive Peter. Henry recalled Peter’s reported support during his period of illness, including the payment of his hospital bills, as evidence that the brothers had once shared a strong bond.
The latest intervention comes against the backdrop of a prolonged dispute involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother, Jude, who previously managed P-Square. The disagreement between the twins dates back several years and contributed to the duo’s breakup in 2017.
The brothers reunited in 2021, rekindling hopes among their fans that their differences had been resolved. However, the reconciliation did not last, as another disagreement emerged in 2024, with the dispute subsequently becoming increasingly public.
During the renewed crisis, Peter accused Paul of working with Jude to undermine him and raised questions about the management and distribution of P-Square’s finances. He also alleged that another company, Northside Music Limited, was receiving royalties belonging to P-Square and linked the company to Jude and his wife.
Paul, however, defended Jude and accused Peter of contributing to the legal difficulties faced by their elder brother. In February 2025, Paul said he was supporting Jude because he believed his elder brother knew the truth about the allegations, while accusing Peter of being responsible for Jude’s legal ordeal.
Jude was subsequently arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations involving N1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. Peter later testified against Jude, alleging that the former P-Square manager secretly incorporated Northside Music Limited and used it to collect royalties belonging to the group.
The financial dispute has continued before the courts. In February 2026, Peter admitted during cross-examination that he was a co-signatory to the Northside Entertainment Limited account, contrary to an earlier position that Jude was the sole signatory.
The disagreement has continued to generate public debate, with Peter and Paul making differing claims about their relationship, the management of P-Square and Jude’s role in the events that led to the group’s collapse.
Against this backdrop, Henry’s latest intervention represents another attempt by a member of the Okoye family to encourage reconciliation. Despite his doubts about the possibility of a full reunion, he said he had forgiven his siblings and urged them to put their differences behind them for the sake of family unity.
