The member representing Umuahia South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Tommy Jacob Obioma, has reaffirmed his commitment to dedicated service and grassroots development as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to gain momentum across the state.
Obioma, who recently emerged as the consensus candidate of the Labour Party for the Umuahia South State Constituency seat, assured constituents that his next phase of leadership would focus more on expanding developmental projects, strengthening community engagement, and delivering more democratic dividends to the people.
Speaking during interactions with supporters and stakeholders within the constituency, the lawmaker expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by the party leadership, grassroots supporters, and residents of Umuahia South. He described the endorsement as both a privilege and a renewed call to service.
“I remain deeply grateful to God Almighty, the Labour Party, and the good people of Umuahia South for the trust and confidence they have continued to place in me. I do not take this support for granted, and I want to assure our people that I will continue to serve with dedication, sincerity, and commitment,” Obioma stated.
The lawmaker noted that leadership must always be driven by compassion, accountability, and genuine concern for the welfare of the people. According to him, his representation at the Abia State House of Assembly has consistently been guided by the desire to improve the living conditions of constituents through responsive legislation and constituency-focused initiatives.
“Umuahia South will witness more progress in the years ahead. We are committed to expanding opportunities for our youths, supporting women and vulnerable groups, improving community development initiatives, and ensuring that governance continues to touch the lives of ordinary people,” he said.
