
The Kano State Police Command has distributed cheques amounting to N3.18 million to five next of kin and a police officer, beneficiaries of the Group Personnel Accident Insurance Scheme.
Today, March 12, 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, distributed cheques amounting to N3,188,685.80 to five next of kin and a Police Officer beneficiaries of the Group Personnel Accident Insurance Scheme,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the initiative is a testament to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of Police officers and their families, particularly those affected by accidents and injuries.
The beneficiaries, comprising families of injured Police Officers and Officers who were victims of accidents, received the financial support as a gesture of the Nigeria Police Force’s care and concern for their well-being.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, conveyed the IGP’s message to the beneficiaries, urging them to use the funds judiciously for their health and well-being.
He also prayed for the departed souls of the deceased officers.
