The Bauchi State chapter of the G6 Vanguard, a political advocacy group within the Peoples Democratic Party has called for the expulsion of Haruna Jungudo from the party, accusing him of persistent indiscipline, anti-party activities and deliberate sabotage of the party’s collective interests.
In a statement issued on Monday, the group’s Publicity Secretary, Isyaku Adamu, expressed concern over what it described as Jungudo’s continued disregard for party directives and open romance with opposition elements—actions it said have undermined the PDP’s unity and stability at both state and local government levels.
“The PDP remains a party built on discipline, loyalty, and respect for constituted leadership. No individual, regardless of position or influence, should be allowed to weaken the structures we have collectively worked hard to build,” the statement read.
According to the G6 Vanguard, several documented cases show that Jungudo allegedly worked against PDP candidates during major elections, sponsored media campaigns to ridicule party leadership and engaged in actions that violate the party’s constitution and internal code of conduct.
The group warned that retaining any member whose conduct is detrimental to the party’s growth threatens its internal cohesion and future electoral fortunes.
It therefore urged the State Working Committee and the National Working Committee to take immediate disciplinary action in line with Sections 58 and 59 of the PDP Constitution.
“The disciplinary organs must demonstrate leadership by enforcing the rules without favouritism,” the statement added.
Adamu reaffirmed the G6 Vanguard’s loyalty to the PDP and its commitment to safeguarding the party’s integrity. He also urged party members to remain calm while appropriate authorities address the issue.
